FEED for Husky Oil?s MDA-MBH fields approved

The front end engineering design (FEED) for the development of the MDA-MBH gas fields within the Madura Strait PSC in East Java proposed by operator Husky Oil Madura has been approved, said Rudi Rubiandini, Chairman of upstream authority SKK Migas.

According to a document obtained by Petromindo.com, the MDA-MBH development will be on stream in the second quarter of 2016, with gas production of 175 mmscfd.

In the same document, it was also informed that the Madura BD Development in the same block will be on stream in the fourth quarter of 2014, with liquid production of 6,600 bpd, and gas 110 mmscfd.

As of end of March, the tender for the Madura BD production facilities was still at the stage of commercial evaluation.

This news portal previously reported that Husky Oil would invest a total of US$396.9 million to develop its fields of MBH and MDA.
