The Front End Engineering Design (FEED) of the unitization project of Jambaran and Tiung Biru fields in Cepu block operated by PT Pertamina EP Cepu (PEPC) is projected to be completed in early 2015, according to a top official of PEPC.

PEPC?s President Director Amril Thaib Mandailing told Petromindo.com that currently the FEED has reached 13 percent completion.

PEPC has awarded the FEED contract worth US$6 million to the consortium of Indonesian firm PT Singgar Mulia and American firm Flour Daniels.

?We expect that by the time the FEED is already 75 percent completed, we will start to auction the EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) works, and thus can initiate to accelerate the schedule,? he said.

According to Amril, the project will come onstream in the end of 2018 or in the first quarter of 2019 at the latest.

Tiung Biru field is located within Pertamina EP?s Cepu operations area which is adjacent to the Cepu giant oil and gas block jointly operated by ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) and Pertamina EP. The Jambaran gas field is located within the Cepu Block, which is operated by EMCL, a unit of ExxonMobil Indonesia. EMCL and Pertamina EP agreed in September 2012 to unitize both fields.
