FEED for Jambu Air Utara field canceled: Source

A reliable industry source has indicated that the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for the development of Jambu Air Utara (JAU) field, Krueng Mane block in Aceh, has been canceled.

The source, who wants to remain anonymous, said that the FEED was canceled as some of its aspects was not in line with the already approved plan of development (POD).

When asked for confirmation to ENI, that operates the block, a source at the firm declined to comment, saying the person was not authorized to comment on a decision by upstream authority SKK Migas.

"The FEED tender process has not even started yet."

The POD for JAU field was approved in January 2012.

SKK Migas data shows that Initial gas production is expected to take place in the fourth quarter of 2015 with estimated production of 3,300 bpd of oil and 108 mmscfd of gas.
