Vice Minister for Energy and Mineral Resources Rudi Rubiandini said that the ministry would allocate 80 mmscfd of gas from the Ruby field operated by Pearl Oil for fertilizer plant Pabrik Pupuk Kalimantan Timur V (PKT V) in East Kalimantan.

Rudi said that the move is a form of the ministry?s support to the various projects under the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia?s Economic Development, or more known under its local abbreviation of MP3EI.

?About 80 mmscfd of gas from Pearl Oil?s Ruby field will be allocated for PKT V,? Rudi told Petromindo.com Thursday.

?PKT V is developed to replace the aging and inefficient PKT I. PKT V uses new technology, which makes it more efficient,? he added.
