Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo has earmarked about Rp45 trillion in revenue-sharing funds derived from the production of oil and gas, as well as general mining activities to be distributed to producing regions this year.

The figures are stipulated under two new Ministerial Regulations, which were signed on January 8 and put into effect immediately. They are Ministerial Regulation No 19/PMK.07/2013 on Oil and Gas Revenue-Sharing Fund Estimate for 2013 and No.23/PMK.07/2013 on General Mining Revenue-Sharing Fund Estimated for 2013.

The estimates are based on the 2013 State Budget. Therefore, any changes in the basic assumption used in the State Budget would require adjustment in the amount of the funds.

Under the regulations, the revenue-sharing fund from the oil and gas production is estimated at Rp32.1 trillion while from the general mining activities at Rp12.9 trillion.

The distribution of these funds will be conducted once every three months.
