Finders appoints Intermet to undertake Maluku copper-gold project FS

Sydney-based mineral explorer Finders Resources reported on Thursday that it had appointed Intermet Engineering Pty Ltd as manager of a feasibility study into all aspects of production and shipping of a concentrate from the Wetar deposit copper gold deposit in Maluku

The company also said that Intermet had completed an initial review of the Wetar Copper Project Scoping Study.

Finders had also signed agreement with Core Resources, who undertook studies into the construction of an Albion Process plant to treat feed from third party sources. Core and Finders have agreed to share data and co-operate with the economic evaluation of the Albion Process technology for treating Wetar concentrate. A mine-to-metal costing model will be developed with a view to evaluating options for the construction of a hydrometallurgical treatment plant.

Current reserves at Wetar copper and gold project are: 10.7 Mt @ 2.4% Cu, 0.64 g/t Au, 27 g/t Ag in two deposits at a cut-off grade of 0.5% Cu. (alex)
