Finland offered geothermal preliminary survey work

The government of Indonesia has offered Finnish companies to carry out preliminary survey of geothermal potential in Indonesia.

The offer was made by Minister of Energy and Resources Jero Wacik during a meeting with visiting chief economics minister of Finland on Friday.

Director General of New and Renewable Energy, Rida Mulyana said that the offer was similar to the one made recently to Turkey, which was interested in carrying out preliminary survey in six areas. He did not elaborate.
