A fire at a bulk LPG filling station in Bekasi has been brought under control, with fuel supply to consumers remaining unaffected, according to PT Pertamina Patra Niaga.
The incident occurred at the SPBE facility operated by PT Indogas Andalan Kita on Wednesday at around 9:00 p.m. local time.
Area Manager Communications, Relations and CSR for the West Java region Susanto August Satria said emergency response teams were immediately mobilized, with coordination between the company, the facility operator and local fire departments.
The fire was extinguished in the early hours of Thursday by firefighting units from Bekasi city and regency, with additional support from security personnel to secure the surrounding area.

“The company apologizes for the incident and confirms that swift action was taken from the outset,” Susanto said.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
Pertamina Patra Niaga said its immediate priority is post-incident handling, including ensuring the safety of nearby residents and providing assistance to affected workers and communities. The number of casualties is still being verified.
To maintain supply, the company has activated an emergency distribution scheme, supported by nearby LPG filling stations including PT Kenrope Sarana Pratama, PT Pacific Sumber Segara and PT Dharma Wira Sentosa.
The company said LPG supply to the public remains secure and urged consumers not to engage in panic buying as alternative distribution points have been prepared.
