Fire hit PPEJ rig

A fire incident occurred at a rig operated by Joint Operating Body Pertamina-PetroChina East Java (JOB-PPEJ) on Monday night, said Tenny Wibowo, President Director of Pertamina Hulu Energi. The fire, however, has been put under control.
No further details were provided about the incident, which was also confirmed by Deputy for Operation Control at upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas, Muliawan to Petromindo.com.
PPEJ said last year it planned to drill 10 development wells and one exploration well at the Sukowati field in the Tuban block, in East Java, this year.
As Joint Operation Body, Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) holds 75 percent participating interest and PetroChina East Java holds 25 percent.
