First gas delivery to Singapore delayed on ?technical problems?

State gas distribution firm PGN said on Tuesday that gas delivery to Singapore?s Sakra receiving station would be delayed due to some ?technical problems?.

?First gas delivery would be delayed until August 24 because gas temperature is still above the required level,? said PGN president WMP Simandjuntak.

First gas delivery was initially scheduled this week.

Gas supply to Singapore was sourced from ConocoPhillip?s Corridor Block PSC in South Sumatra, transmitted through 470-km pipeline operated by PGN with Singapore?s PowerGas as the offtaker. The project will supply 350 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas from South Sumatra to Singapore for 20 years. It is expected to generate some US$9 billion in revenue for Indonesia over the period.(godang)
