First synchronized test at Pesanggaran power plant

PT Indonesia Power, a subsidiary of state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, said in a statement that the gas and diesel-fired power plant, which is still at the commissioning stage, can be run on gas, MFO or HSD.
The power plant, which uses power technology from Finland?s Wartsila, comprises of six blocks, each of which has three units. Commercial date of operation of the first block is scheduled for March 2015, Indonesia Power said in the statement last week.
Dubbed as Indonesia?s largest ever engine based power plant, it is being constructed by a consortium with W?rtsil? as the lead partner together with PT Pembangunan Perumahan (Persero) Tbk (PT PP), one of Indonesia?s state owned construction firms.
