Five bidders participate in Asam Asam coal supply re-tender

South Kalimantan unit of state electricity firm PLN said five bidders have submitted bids in a re-tender to supply low-rank coal to Asam-Asam 2x65-MW power plant, South Kalimantan.
A company official said the bidders included PT Jorong Barutama Greston, PT Bara Pramulya Abadi and PLN Batubara.
The official said PLN has imposed maximum price of Rp.197,000 per tonne (US$=Rp.9,400) CIF for the coal.
The official said price bid documents would be submitted on October 26, 2009. The official, however, did not say when the winner will be picked.
The winner will supply 25,000 tonnes of 4,200 kcal/kg (AR) coal per month to Asam-Asam for three years. (denny)
