Five Jambi miners stop operation

Tebo Regency Head of Mining of the Mineral Resources and Economic Division, Erwanto, stated that five miners in the area have stopped their operation, as quoted by metrojambi.

The five companies are PT Global Indo Alam Lestari (GAL), PT Anugrah Alam Andalas (AAA), PT Bumi Unggul Permai (BUP), PT Hasil Tambang Raya (HTR) and PT Asia Multi Investama (AMI).

"The low internal and domestic prices are the key reasons. In addition, their production costs were too high to be covered by sales," he said, adding that more coal mining companies are in danger of stopping their operation.(*)
