Five ministers to discuss court ruling on mining export policy

Five economic ministers would meet on Tuesday to make official respond on Supreme Court ruling on the export policy on unprocessed mining products.
The five minesters are Coordinating Minister for Economy Hatta Rajasa, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik, Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan, Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo and Trade Minister MS Hidayat.
"We will meet at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources office on Tuesday to give respond on court ruling officially," Minister Hidayat told Petromindo.com at the State Palace on Saturday.
"The stress would be on the trade ministry, because it links with exports,"said Hidayat.
Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources barred exportation on 65 unprocessed mining products since May unless miners paid 20-percent export duty. Miners are also required to commit to building smelters before 2014 to increase added value of mineral ores.
