Former Pertamina boss named chief commissioner

The government has appointed Martiono Hadianto, the former president director of PT Pertamina, as the new chief commissioner of the state-owned oil and gas company, State Enterprises Minister Sugiharto said Tuesday.

Martiono replaces state enterprise minister Laksamana Sukardi.

The government has also named two other replacement commissioners, he added. Ansyari Ritonga, former official at the ministry of finance is replaced by Mohammad Abduh, a former official at state planning board and Syarifuddin Tumenggung will is replaced by Umar Said, former secretary general of ministry of mines and energy.

Two other commissioners; Roes Aryawijaya and Iin Arifin takhyan retain their position.

Sugiharto said he would not reshuffle Pertamina's board of directors immediately. (alex)
