Former Pertamina chief questioned by prosecutor office

Former president of the state-owned oil and gas company Pertamina, Faisal Abda'oe was interrogated Tuesday by public prosecutor over alleged involvement in a corruption case linked to technical assistance contract signed with PT Ustraindo Petro Gas (UPG).

Faisal was grilled at the Attorney General's Office by public prosecutor Barman Zahir for about four hours.

Faisal declined to provide any comments to reporters following the questioning. He rushed to his car.

According to the data provided by the prosecutor's office, between December 1992 and February 1993, Pertamina has made a contract with UPG to provide technical assistance to less productive oil wells.(R. Amoros).
