Four consortiums bid for Jawa-1 power plant project

Only four consortiums made bid submission to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN for the planned 1,600 MW Jawa-1 combined cycle power plant project.
PLN opened the bid submission on Thursday, a delay from the initial schedule of July 25. A source told Petromindo.com that PLN will evaluate the bids, and is expected to announce the result within a month.
The source said the consortiums that made the bid submission are as follows.
1.Consortium comprising of Mitsubishi Corp and JERA (both from Japan), PT PJB (a subsidiary of PLN) and IDX-listed PT Rukun Raharja Tbk.
2.Consortium comprising of IDX-listed coal giant PT Adaro Energy Tbk and Singapore?s Sembcorp Utilities Pty Ltd.
3.Consortium of state-owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina and Japan?s Marubeni Corp and Sojitz Corp.
4.Consortium comprising of PT Medco Power Generation Indonesia, PT Medco Power Indonesia (both subsidiaries of IDX-listed energy firm PT Medco Energi Internasional Tbk), and Kepco-Nebras Power.
