Four firms eyeing ConocoPhillips? Belida FSO tender

Four bidders have passed pre-qualification to provide and operate an FSO for ConocoPhillips? Belida field in Natuna Sea Block B PSC, a senior official with upstream oil, gas authority BPMIGAS said on Thursday.

Vice-Chairman Hardiono told Petromindo.Com that four bidders including Pacific Tanker, which is currently providing Intan FSO at Belida, PT Berlian Laju Tanker Tbk and PT Trada Maritime Tbk.

?Currently, ConocoPhillips is conducting technical assessment,? he said.

In Jan 2010 announcement, the ConocoPhillips said it was conducting tender to replace existing FSO terminal. The company requires an FSO from a converted crude tanker with minimum storage capacity of 500,000 barrels.

The duration of the charter would be for 7 years with tentative award June 2010 and installation in the field taking place in the second quarter of 2011, the company said in Jan. 18. (bernard)
