Four gold miners trapped following landslide

Four of five traditional gold miners in Air Aseak Village, Pinang Berlapis District, Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, remain trapped underground following landslide incident Friday afternoon, Tempo.co reported Saturday.
The portal quoted Edi Samudera, a senior official of the administration?s disaster mitigation agency, as saying that one worker managed to be evacuated Friday evening. He was in a very weak condition, he said.
Edi said that the emergency team was facing difficulties to reach the remote gold mine site. He suspected that the landslide incident was triggered by heavy rainfall. (*)
