Four people charged with illegal mining activities acquitted

Four men charged with illegal mining activities in Muara Teweh, Kalimantan have been acquitted by the local district court after prosecutors failed to prove the suspects' wrong doings, Kalimantan Pos reported on Wednesday.
The four men; Atak Lidi bin Tami (40), Puneh Bin Pulang (65), Satar Binti Puneh (36) and Iwar binti Puneh (30) were taken to court for allegedly conducted illegal mining activities in the concession area owned by PT Indo Muro Kencana.
The court, however, acquitted them from the charges.
According to the court's verdict, the four suspects were freed because the charges stated in the introduction of the indictment contradicted with those stipulated in the main content of the charge. (*)
