Freeport bus comes under attack

A bus carrying workers of giant copper and gold miner PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) came under attack in Mile 29, when it was on the way from Mile 50 to Gorong-gorong terminal in Mile 26 in Timika, Papua on Wednesday, but no one was injured, Antara new agency reported
Mimika police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Mochammad Sagi said investigators found no bullet shrapnel around the crime site, brushing aside media reports that gunmen were behind the attack.
PTFI's spokesman Budiman Moerdijat, when contacted by Petromindo. com, confirmed an incident befell one bus in a convoy near Mile Post 28 at around 12.15 Indonesian Eastern Time.
He noted however there was no shooting during incident, no one was injured and police is investigating the incident. "Operational activities run as normal," he said. (Godang)
