Freeport obtains export quota of 756,300 tons

Copper giant PT Freeport Indonesia has been given an export quota for copper concentrates of 756,300 tons for the period of February to August of 2015.
Director General of Mineral and Coal R. Sukhyar said that the company?s current export quota of the same volume will expire in February.
He added that Freeport?s export will still be subject to a 7.5 export a Java, has yet to reach 30 percent of the targeted works.
According to existing regulation, export of mineral concentrates will be subject to export duty of up to 7.5 percent. The duty will be exempted if the progress of the required domestic smelter has reached at least 30 percent. (*)
