Freeze on issuance of new license for coal transport extended

The Director General of Mineral and Coal has issued a new ruling No 02.Ins/30/DJB/2015, extending the suspension on the issuance of new Special Production Operation Mining Business License for coal transport and sales, both in the domestic and export markets, to foreign investors.
According to a copy of the ruling obtained Tuesday, the suspension is extended for another 12 months starting May 16.
The move is needed to revamp the entire licensing the coal mining sector to help improve supervision.
