French firms to develop three renewable projects in RI

French companies plan to develop three renewable power plant projects in Indonesia with combined investment of US$336.9 million following the signing of letter of intent with Indonesia?s state-owned electricity firm PT PLN, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.
The paper said that three French firms will develop a wind power plant project and two solar power plant projects with total capacity of 170 MW. The companies signed letters of intent with PLN on Monday in Paris on the sidelines of a renewables conference, said Agung Pribadi, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Spokesman.
The wind power plant project in Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province, with capacity of 70 MW will be developed by Pace Energy Pte Ltd in partnership with Indonesian firm PT Juvisk Tri Swarna. Investment requirement is estimated at $153.74 million.
Meanwhile, Aquo Energy Indonesia Ltd will develop the PLTS Bali 2 solar power plant project in Jembrana Regency, Bali, with capacity of 50 MWp and estimated investment of $91.6 million.
Equis Energy Indonesia and PT Infrastruktur Terbarukan Fortuna will develop the PLTS Bali 1 solar power plant project in Kubu Regency, Bali, with capacity of 50 MWp and estimated investment of $91.6 million. (*)
