FSRU Lampung ready to support 35,000 MW

Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) Lampung, the floating LNG terminal owned by IDX-listed state owned gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) Tbk, is ready to support the government?s 35,000 MW mega projects.

 

 

 

PGN said in a statement on Tuesday that the facility, located offshore Lampung province, 21 km away from Labuhan Maringgai seashore district of Lampung Tenggara regency, serve PGN?s customers such as industry, commercial sector, small and medium enterprises, households as well as power plants.

 

 

 

?FSRU Lampung is ready to support the 35,000 MW program initiated by President Joko Widodo,? PGN?s Corporate Secretary Heri Yusup said.

 

 

 

Of the 35,000 MW power projects, 13,432 MW are projects fueled with natural gas, which need a total of 1,009 mmscfd of gas. The 13,432 power projects include PLTGU Jawa 1 (1600 MW), PLTGU Jawa-Bali 3 Peaker (500 MW), PLTGU Muara Karang (peaker) (500 MW), PLTGU Jawa 2 (Tanjung Priok) ( 800 MW), PLTMG Belitung V (30 MW), PLTMG Bangka Peaker (100 MW), PLTMG Tanjung Pinang II (30 MW), PLTMG Bengkalis (18 MW), PLMG MPP Kaltim (30 MW), PLTGU Sulsel Peaker( 450 MW) and many others.

 

 

 

FSRU has a storage capacity of 170,000 cubic meters and regasification capacity of 240 mmscfd, according to Heri,
