FSRU Lampung sailing to Lampung

Norwegian firm H?egh LNG Ltd announced on Tuesday that it took delivery of the "PGN FSRU Lampung", the first of the four new built FSRUs that the company has ordered from Hyundai Heavy Industries Ltd (HHI), on April 17th.

 

The "PGN FSRU Lampung" is currently sailing to Lampung in Indonesia to commence 20 years of operation for the Lampung FSRU project. The project is on schedule and is expected to commence operation in June 2014, the firm said in a statement.

 

Sveinung J.S. St?hle, President and CEO of HLNG, stated: "We are delighted to have reached this important milestone together with HHI and Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) and we are pleased to be part of such an important element of Indonesia's energy infrastructure. We now have three FSRUs in our fleet and with three more on order, we continue to grow our position as the leading provider of floating regasification services from newbuilt FSRU's."

 

The PGN FSRU Lampung is leased by PGN from Hoegh for 20 years with a extension option of five years.
