State-owned gas distribution company PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) is scheduled to kick off the operation of its Floating Storage and Re-gasification Unit (FSRU) Lampung in July of this year.

PGN?s Vice President for Corporate Communications, Ridha Ababil told Petromindo.com that the firm is conducting final tests on the reliability of the pipelines, to see whether there is ?anomaly, leak or not.

?If the test is running smoothly, the FSRU will start operations in July,? he said, adding that commercialization of the FSRU is scheduled for September or October.

The FSRU is leased by Norwegian firm H?egh LNG to PGN for a period of 20 years with 5 years extension option. The facility is located offshore Lampung province.
