The government has agreed to allocate part of the LNG from the Tangguh refinery facility in Papua to the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) in Jakarta and fertilizer firm PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda (PIM) in Aceh.
Director General of Oil and Gas Evita Legowo expected at least 1 cargo of LNG to be delivered to the FSRU before the end of September of this year from the refinery unit operated by BP Indonesia.
?One cargo (to be delivered) up to September. There will be more in the future hopefully for the FSRU in Jakarta and PIM,? she told Petromindo.com Friday.
Elsewhere, Evita also stressed that 40 percent of the LNG produced from the development of the Tangguh Train 3 facility should be allocated for the domestic market. ?For Tangguh Train 3, about 40 percent will be allocated for the domestic (market), starting 2013,? she said, adding that the government would still have to look into the market?s readiness to absorb the LNG.
