FSRU West Java, LNG vessel arrive at Jakarta bay

PT Nusantara Regas, a joint venture of state-owned oil,gas company PT Pertamina and gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk, said the Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) West Java has arrived at the Jakarta bay this morning.

Director for Technique and Operation of Nusantara Regas, Ari Adji told Petromindo.com that at the same time the LNG vessel, transporting LNG from Bontang LNG plant, has also arrived on the site. The LNG vessel is being tied up with the FSRU to allow ship-to-ship LNG transfer.

Gas from the FRSU will be delivered via pipeline to PT PLN's power plants in north Jakarta.

The FSRU West Java is Indonesia's first FSRU.
