Fuel consumption below target this year

State oil and gas company Pertamina said on Thursday domestic fuel consumption was estimated to reach 58.2 million kiloliters this year, lower than the target of 60.3 million kiloliters set in the state budget.

Last year, Indonesia consumed 57,9 million kiloliters of fuel.

Pertamina?s downstream director Harry Purnomo said fuel consumption could be lower than the budget?s target thanks to Pertamina?s ability to curb the consumption of automotive diesel oil and kerosene. (Godang)
