The Cilegon Police said on Thursday that it could not bring into court a fuel smuggling case due to the lack of evidence.
The case centers in the effort to smuggle some 288 tons of fuel from the Cilegon, West Java, waters by using a Turkish flag ship late last year.
But an official at the state oil and gas firm Pertamina said that it would not be discouraged by the disappointing development, and vowed to continue the chase against fuel smugglers or illegal fuel transaction.(*)
