Fuel stocks to be cut to 23 days of consumption in February

	State oil and gas firm Pertamina will cut in February fuel stocks to cover 23 days of domestic consumption from the current 27 days due to excess stocks, the company?s downstream director Muchsin Bahar said Friday. 
Pertamina increased fuel stocks late last year to meet rising demand ahead of Idhul Fitri, Christmas and New Year festivities.
Pertamina had estimated that oil products consumption would be around 60 million kiloliters in 2003, compared with an estimated 58 million kiloliters in 2002. (godang)
