The association of fuel vendors (Gapina) has demanded state owned oil and gas company Pertamina to allocate at least 2.8 million kiloliters of Premium gasoline to its 4,400 members in the country, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Tuesday.
Gapina?s chairman Karlana said that their demand would represent only about five percent of the 56 million kiloliters of Premium gasoline distributed by Pertamina through licensed distributors such as gasoline stations.
He said that the demand was made in line with the government?s plan to open the retail sector of the country?s fuel sales next year. "The 2.8 million kiloliters of the proposed quota will be distributed to all Gapina members which each sell about 80 liter of fuel per day," he added. (*)
