G-Resources CEO tenders resignation

Hong Kong-listed G-Resources Group Limited announced that Peter Geoffrey Albert has tendered his resignation as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company to pursue other career opportunities.

The company said in a statement obtained Thursday that Albert has agreed that he will remain as Executive Director and CEO of the company until June 30, 2015.

Albert has also agreed to act as an advisor of the company to provide advice on the mining business of the company for a period of 12 months from 1 July 2015, the statement added.

G-Resources operates the Martabe gold and silver mine in North Sumatra, which has a resource base of 7.4 million ounces of gold and 70 million ounces of silver. Martabe?s operating capacity is to mine and mill the equivalent of 4.5 mtpa ore to produce some 250,000 ounces gold and 2 million ounces silver per annum. Costs are claimed to be competitive when compared to global gold producers.
