G-Resources pours 1st gold

Hong Kong-listed gold mining firm G-Resources Group Limited recently stated that the first gold has been poured from the gold room furnace in the afternoon of Tuesday 24 July 2012 at its Martabe gold and silver mine in North Sumatra.
Witnessing the gold pour were G-Resources Chairman Chiu Tao, Vice Chairmen Owen Hegarty and Or Ching Fai, Chief Executive Officer Peter Albert as well as several directors, senior management and operating staff. Also on site were South Tapanuli Regent and leaders from the communities closest to the mine.
"Commissioning activities in the process plant have been ongoing for the past two months. Some final process plant works and associated infrastructure need to be completed as the mine and process plant now begin ramping up to full capacity over the next several months," the company said in a statement submitted to the Hong Kong stock exchange.
