US multinational aviation firm GA Telesis LLC said its engine maintenance unit has secured a contract to provide overhaul services for engines used by Garuda Indonesia.
The agreement covers maintenance of CFM56-7B engines that power Garuda’s Boeing 737 Next-Generation fleet, following a competitive tender process, the company said in a statement.
The first engine under the contract is already being transported to GA Telesis Engine Services’ facility in Helsinki, Finland, for overhaul.
President of GA Telesis Engine Services Gunnar Sigurfinnsson said the award reflects the company’s capabilities in providing maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services.

“We are honored that Garuda Indonesia has entrusted us with the care of their most critical engine assets,” Gunnar said.
Vice President Sales APAC and MEA Avinash Singh said the contract strengthens the company’s presence in the Asia-Pacific market.
“This marks the beginning of what we expect to be a long-term partnership,” Avinash said.
The contract comes as airlines focus on maintaining fleet reliability and efficiency amid growing demand for air travel, increasing the need for engine maintenance and overhaul services.
