Gag Nikel gets 5 years lost time injury free

PT Gag Nikel, a subsidiary of resources giant BHP Billiton, which explores for nickel in Gag Island in the easternmost province of Papua on Monday celebrated 5 years of operating without injury.
?It?s a tremendous achievement that Gag Nikel had more than 5 years without lost time injury. Thanks to the dedicated workforce we are able to achieve the world class standard of safety,? said Andrew Wilson, BHP Billiton Indonesia president on a sideline of a celebration.
He added that BHP Billiton had also awarded Gag Nikel the best community development program within the group.
BHP Billiton has 75 percent stake in PT Gag Nikel, while state miner PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. Holds the remaining 25 percent. (alex/godang)
