GAM to up production in 2018

PT Ganda Alam Makmur (GAM), a coal mining unit of LG International Group, is expected to ramp up production to six million tons in 2018 from this year?s target of 3.5 million tons.
?We will continue expanding our production. In 2018, we plan to produce six million tons from GAM,? Chris Kim, Managing Director of Batubara Global Energy (BGE) told Petromindo.com
BGE is a trading company in Indonesia under the flag of LG International Group. BGE is a single off taker for GAM production.
GAM started production in January 2017 after three months of trial in previous year.
Located in East Kalimantan, GAM has 10,600 hectares area with reserve of 210 million tons.
Chris claimed that the company has applied good cost structure in its operation since the beginning of production by building its own 30-km hauling road and jetty facilities in order to make the coal from company competitive in both Indonesia and Asia market.
