Gambia offers oil block investment to RI firms

The government of Gambia has offered investment opportunity in the country's oil block to Indonesian companies. The seismic data, location and other details of the block had been submitted to the Indonesian government, the Investor Daily Indonesia reported in its Thursday edition.
"The offer was made by the visiting Gambian President Alhadji Yahya AJJ during a bilateral meeting with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Monday (27/6)," Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Purnomo Yusgiantoro said in Jakarta on Wednesday.
According to Purnomo, the offer will be forwarded to state-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina and other national oil and gas companies, which are interested in investing in Gambia.(*)
