Garda Tujuh's conveyor belt to be completed by end of March

IDX-listed PT Garda Tujuh Buana has bought mining equipment units comprising of 14 Scania dump trucks and 4 excavators to boost its coal output to between 4 and 4.5 million tons this year from its mine in Bunyu Island, East Kalimantan.

In addition, the company is constructing conveyor belt to transport coal from mining pit to the stockpile. The total estimated cost to be incurred for this project is Rp 42 billion, the company said.

The project is expected to be completed on March 31, 2013.

Last year, the company produced 2.8 million tons of low rank coal.
