Garda Tujuh secures 5.1 million tons of coal contract

IDX-listed coal company PT Garda Tujuh Buana Tbk has secured a new 5.1 milion tons of coal contract this year.

Garda Tujuh's Commisioner Pardeep Dhir said the contract was signed by four new buyers from Middle East and India. "The contract applies for 12 months starting from July 2013," Pardeep said as reported by Investor Daily.

As of the first half of the year, Garda Tujuh has sold 15 percent of its sales target for the year. Pardeep said the company has sold an average 300,000 to 350,000 tons a month.

Pardeep said the company is looking for short term coal contract because it has learnt from last year?s experience where Agracom Ltd canceled a 10 million tons coal contract. (*)
