Gas-fired power plant to be built in Bangka Belitung

A 2x25 MW gas-fired power plant will be developed in Bangka Belitung Province to help resolve the current power crisis in the region and attract new investment.
Bangka Belitung Provincial Governor Rustam Effendi was quoted by Antaranews.com that the construction of the power plant will be accelerated in the hope that it could start operation next year.
He said that increasing power supply in the province is necessary to help lure new investments into the province. No further details about the project were provided. (*)
