Gas flows from Medco?s Pidawan-1 well

Australian listed oil company CityView Corporation Ltd. said Thursday that Pidawan-1 exploration well onshore East Kalimantan had flowed gas and condensate, but had to be shut down due to a surface leak from the separator.
The company said gas and condensate flowed after the drill stem test was perforated late afternoon on Wednesday July 3, 2002.
The company said the block?s operator, PT Medco Energi International Tbk planned to continue shut down the well over night for safety reasons and run the flow test late today.
Pidawan-1 well is located in Simenggaris Joint Operation Block.
CityView is free carried by Medco throughout the current work programs and has a 25 percent gross interest in Simenggaris block. (robert)
