Italian firm Eni S.p.a is still unable to find buyers for the gas it plans to produce from the Jambu Aye field within Krueng Mane block in Aceh Timur regency, Aceh province.

The reason is that at US$12 per mmbtu, the gas is considered too expensive.

?There isn?t yet any offtaker. The gas is too expensive. The offshore price is around $12 per mmbtu,? Taslim Yunus, spokesperson for upstream authority SKK Migas, told Petromindo.com on Monday.

According to Taslim, Jambu Aye field is still in FEED preparation tender stage, a status in which it has been since three years ago. The firm has yet to start tender on the making of the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) is because SKK Migas has yet to agree on the firm?s proposal on a change in production profile. Now, Eni has scheduled to put the FEED work into tender in 2018.

ENI has a 85 percent interest in Krueng Mane PSC.
