Gas production from the Bangka field within Rapak block, which is part of Indonesia Deepwater Development (IDD) Project, operated by Chevron Indonesian Company, is expected to start entering the Bontang LNG plant in East Kalimantan in September of this year, according to a top official of PT Badak NGL, the operator of the plant.

"Gas from IDD's Bangka field will be likely delivered to Bontang plant this September, approximately 100-150 mmscfd of gas," Badak?s President Director Salis Aprilian said in Jakarta.

The plant also receives gas from other fields. Head of Media Relations at Total E&P Indonesie Kristanto Hartadi said earlier that gas production from the Mahakam block in 2016 has been targeted to reach 1,400 mmscfd, a decrease compared to last year?s output of 1,680 mmscfd.

"Meanwhile, gas production from Vico's Sangasanga block is also declining. Currently, Vico's Sangasanga block is still supplying 300-350 mmscfd of gas, and Chevron's East Kalimantan block only 32 mmscfd of gas," Salis said.
