The country?s gas lifting per end of October of this year reached 7.084 bbtud, or 99.8 percent of the 7.099 bbtud target set in the 2014 state budget, the upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas said in statement issued Sunday.

?Amid the various challenges faced by the oil and gas industry, the gas lifting achievement is quite encouraging,? said SKK Migas acting Chairman, J. Widjonarko.

Five production sharing contractors Total E&P Indonesie, ConocoPhillips (Grissik) LTD, PT Pertamina EP, BP Berau LTD, and PetroChina International Jabung LTD were the largest contributors, accounting for a combined 75 percent of the total lifting.

Meanwhile, Widjonarko confirmed earlier reports that the oil lifting prognosis for this year is around 798,000 bpd, or 97.6 percent of the 818,000 bpd target set in the 2014 state budget.

He reiterated that that oil and gas industry in the country has been facing various challenges from weather to permitting problem, and from rig supply to failure with drilling programs.
