Gas lifting of 14 PSCs above target

The upstream oil and gas regulator BPMigas recorded gas lifting of 14 oil and gas production sharing contracts (PSCs) out of the total 56 PSCs were above their respective targets as set in the revised 2011 state budget.

The PSCs that have recorded higher lifting are ExxonMobil Oil Indonesia, which produces 417 MMSCFD of gas so far this year, higher than its target of 328 MMSCFD. The second is Chevron Indonesia, which recorded gas lifting of 141 MMSCFD, much higher than the target of 87 MMSCFD.

In the third position is Premier Oil Natuna Sea B.V. with gas lifting of 145 MMSCFD, higher than target of 126 MMSCFD, followed by Santos (Madura Offshore) Pty ltd at 119 MMSFD which is 16.87 MMSCFD higher than target.

Other PSCs that have posted higher-than-target gas lifting are Energy Equity EPIC (Sengkang) Pty. Ltd., Kalila (Bentu) Operator Pty. Ltd., Triangle (Pase), JOB P - PetroChina East Java, JOB P - Costa Int. Group Ltd, PHE ? ONWJ, Medco E&P Ind. (S&C Sumatra), Kangean Energy Ind. Ltd. and PetroChina Int. (Bermuda) Ltd.

Deputy Head of Operation at BPMigas, Rudi Rubiandini hopes that the 14 PSCs motivate other PSCs to also try their best to boost their gas lifting. ?All elements of the government and PSCs must work hard to boost national gas lifting in order to meet the set target,? he said.
