Gas production at Gundih field delayed

Gas production at the Gundih field in Cepu block operated by PT Pertamina EP will be slightly delayed from the initial schedule of December 2013 to mid January of 2014.
The planned supply of 50 mmscfd of gas from the field to state-owned electricity firm PLN?s Tambak Lorok power plant in Central Java will consequently also be delayed, forcing the company to maintain the use the of more expensive petroleum fuel, said PLN Head of Gas and Fuel Division Suryadi Mardjoeki to Petromindo.com Tuesday.
Director of Exploration and Development at PT Pertamina EP, Doddy Priambodo acknowledged that production at the Gundih field might be delayed to January 2014 depending on the results of the commissioning. ?The commissioning stage is still expected to be held in December,? he told Petromindo.com.
