Gas sale deals to be signed at IPA conference

At least 7 gas purchase agreements have so far been prepared for signing at May 15-17?s Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) Convention and Exhibition in Jakarta, according to upstream authority SKK Migas.
Head of Natural Gas Commercialization Division at upstream authority SKK Migas, Popi A. Nafis told petromindo.com that the 7 signing will include five amendments to the previous contracts.
Three deals are expected to come from PT Pertamina EP, two of which will be an amendment to a previous deal with LPG plant operator PT Media Karya Sentosa and state utility firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) Jambi respectively, with one new agreement with regional-owned Perusda Serumpun Pseko.
Under the new deals, Pertamina will supply Media Karya 40 mmscfd of gas for 2 years, PLN Jambi 4 mmscfd for 6 months and Serumpun Pseko 1 mmscfd for 4 years, explained Popi.
The fourth agreement will involve PT Energi Mega Persada (EMP) Bentu which will supply PT Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper 21 mmscfd for 8 years, followed by a deal between Santos and PLN (25 mmscfd for 4 years), between Chevron Indonesia Company and PT Pertamina RU-5 Balikpapan (45 mmscfd for 5 years), between PT Lapindo and state gas distributor PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN).
