?The Grissik ? Singapore transmission pipeline still operates normally with pressure of up to 860 Psia and with volume of 360 million cubic feet,? said PGN?s director for business affairs Bambang Banyudoyo in Jakarta Tuesday.
Currently, he said, the pipeline channeled 360 million cubic feet to Batam and Singapore with the pressure of 550 Psi or 64 percent of the maximum pressure.
The company confirmed the buckled part of the transmission pipeline under the sea. He declined to say if there are cracks. Repairs to the pipeline may cost $75 million, PGN said in a statement on Tuesday.
PGN is studying options and the required time to fix the pipeline, he added
Meanwhile, a source told Bisnis Indonesia that the repair of the Grissik?s damaged transmission pipeline, which would take around 14 days, was expected to potentially disrupt the gas supply to Singapore.
The pipeline is operated PT Transportasi Gas Indonesia which PGN has 60 percent share and the remaining share by Transasia Pipeline Pvt.Ltd. (godang)
